WorldFood Poland 2022 trade fair is behind us. This year's edition was exceptional – for the first time in a new virtual formula. Information flowing to the organizerów prove that the event has proven to be a real shot in the arm. The fair was attended by 160 exhibitorsów from 22 countriesów and 2,166 logged in usersów representing the mainównie wholesale and retail trade, food production and catering!
Online fair – alternative, on whichóhe industry was waiting
Although the global pandemic shattered the previous order in many areas of our functioning, it fortunately did not freeze one thing: human ingenuity and innovation.
Thanks to initiatives such as trade fairs organized in virtual space, the food industry can continue to function harmoniously with the. Entrepreneurs can not only make new contacts all the time, but also exchange experiences and views on issues thatóThe visitors could hear representatives of government and institutions.
EXPO zone and networking – virtual window to the world
The organizers prepared an EXPO zone, whichówhere they placed virtual booths and exhibitor profilesów. This zone, oprócz function of product presentationsóIn the exhibition, it provided róalso an opportunity for networking activities.

Inaugural debate
The fair began with an opening debate with Gregory Puda, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. Minister together with invited guests: p. Małgorzata Gośniowska-Kola (Director General of KOWR), Senator Jacek Bogucki, Dariusz Sapiński (President of the Management Board of Mlekovita), Jacek Zarzecki (President of the Polish Breeders' Associationóin and Manufactureróin Meat Cattle). They discussed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the shape of international trade in the agri-food area. They pointed out opportunities for Polish exportersów food and omów have presented current consumer and sales trends. The Minister's speech, together with invited guests, attracted a record number of listeners.
The fair was also attended by companies from Mazovia, and the Marshal of the VoivodshipóThe Mazovian Voivodeship Adam Struzik, in a word of introduction, referred to the richness of productóin food produced in the Mazovia region, and encouraged participation in a virtual trade fair.
The substantive partners and wspóhe debates and thematic panels were organized by the largest and most important industry organizations and companies, as well as experts in selected fields, m.in.: Union Producerów i Employersóin the Meat Industry, Mintel, Euromonitor International, Association of Polish Wódka, Biocurier, Hypoallergenic, Food safety in practice, Fooodtech.ac, Startup Academy, Clever Logistic, Trój angle Sp. z o.o., Virtus, FoodMeLaw, Association of Economic Dialogue Forums, National Supplement Councilów and Nutrition.
The new reality
Pandemic, whichóra has limited opportunities in many areas of the economy, has not discouraged the organizer'sów fairóat WorldFood Poland to create a virtual trade show space, allowing potential trade show interactions in online form. The organizers of the fairów took the initiative to create an alternative form of business communication for the food industry in the form of a virtual event, which was appreciated by the majority of participantsów.
